NAHBS 15 Year Anniversary Celebration!

As we get ready to celebrate 15 years of NAHBS, we’re excited to join forces with Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates (SABA) and Cycles 4 Hope to throw a huge celebration at Capital Hop Shop on Saturday March 16th!

You don't want to miss out on this one, more info is below:

The Tour De Hops ride meets outside the convention center at 6:15pm and rolls out to College Cyclery at 6:30pm. There will be beer and wine (with suggested donations that will go to SABA & Cycles 4 Hope) and a vintage bicycle exhibit from the shop owner's collection. The group will ride to Capital Hop Shop at 8:30pm to join the main party where there will be music, special NAHBS edition beer brewed by Bike Dog Brewing, a raffle and good times.

Doors open at 6:30pm at Capital Hop Shop, finishing off the night at 10:30pm. Bike Valet will be provided by SABA in Mike’s Bikes parking lot. A raffle will be taking place at 9:00pm with tickets for purchase at the event.

Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased online, at SABA's booth or valet @ NAHBS on March 15 or 16th, or at the door at Capital Hop Shop. Drinks and raffle tickets can be purchased separately.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

NAHBS Early Access for Retailers

We're excited to announce that we're giving bicycle retail buyers complimentary early-access to the show floor (one hour before the masses arrive) each day of the NAHBS 2019 show.

Why? Because we want to get more local, independent shops promoting and selling handmade bikes to their customers. This will be great opportunity for buyers to meet with builders and brands one-on-one each day before the masses arrive.

Early access will begin Friday March 15th at 11am. Saturday March 16th and Sunday March 17th early access will start at 9am.

One buyer per qualified bicycle retailer/store is able to sign up. Buyers must pre-register for their early-access voucher by completing this online registration form.

Cant make it to NAHBS but want to see the latest and greatest from the handmade bicycle industry? Make sure to follow us on social media where we post the latest & greatest news from builders, exhibitors, and media.

Looking forward to seeing you in Sacramento!

Builder News: #CustomSILCA Award for NAHBS 2019

SILCA+logo.jpg

Calling all NAHBS 2019 Builders!

We’re excited to announce that the #CustomSILCA award is coming back to NAHBS 2019. As a brand that has been making bicycle tools for over a century, SILCA products are regularly featured on builds of every cycling discipline. The #CustomSILCA award recognizes the handmade frame builder who best incorporates SILCA product into their NAHBS build.

SILCA is pleased to offer NAHBS builders new products to customize, special discounted pricing, and free customization on their SICURO Titanium Bottle Cages (must purchase two or more for your build). The selected winner will receive ten of SILCA's brand new Ypsilon Home Kits that they'll customize with your logo or artwork.

To enter the contest, builders must feature a SILCA product on their NAHBS build at the 2019 show. SILCA will judge the builds for this award and will consider the paint job, the number of SILCA products incorporated into the build, creativity, and the overall quality of the full build.

The inaugural #CustomSILCA Award in 2018 was a great success and we're excited to announce its return for NAHBS 2019. Place your SILCA order soon to ensure there's enough time to bring your idea to life.

** Builders can contact Daniel Bartholomew at Daniel@silca.cc for a price list and to place an order. **

About SILCA

SILCA was founded in 1917 by Felice Sacchi outside of Milan, Italy. SILCA was the first company to put gauges on pumps, the first to produce a true ‘high-pressure’ frame pump and the first to work with revolutionary lightweight material plastic after the end of WWII, and later the first to bring CO2 to roadside inflation. Today SILCA is located in Indianapolis, IN where it continues to build iconic products that utilize the finest materials and craftsmanship available.
